As the creative landscape shifts, so too does our signature event. Creative Meetups continue to thrive as a beacon for artistry, collaboration, and inspiration. Over the past year, our community has not only grown in numbers but also deepened its commitment to exploring new creative avenues. Connecting with over 2,000 creatives, 20+ events, and $20,000 given in grants, today, we’re excited to share new updates.
A Year of Dynamic Growth
Since our last check in, Creative Meetups have experienced unprecedented growth. Our participant numbers have surged, and each session has become a melting pot of diverse talents—from seasoned professionals to emerging creatives eager to share fresh ideas and connect. This expansion is a testament to the power of community and the unique value our gatherings offer. Our events are no longer just meetups; they’re vibrant forums where ideas flourish and collaborations are born.

Creative Sessions and New Perspectives
This year, we’ve revamped our format to include interactive workshops, themed sessions, and breakout discussions that allow participants to dive deep into specific areas of interest. In addition, we're partnering with new locations to promote different resources, businesses, and opportunities. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees highlighting the tailored sessions as a game-changer. These new formats have sparked creative dialogues and fostered an environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute their unique perspective.
Spark Grant Returns for 2025
We’re excited to announce that the Spark Grant has returned for 2025. This grant, which has been instrumental in fueling creative projects and collaborations, is set to empower even more innovative ideas and transformative partnerships within our community. The Spark Grant represents our commitment to nurturing talent and providing the resources needed to turn creative visions into reality. Spark Grants provide easy-to-access funds with a quick turnaround time to artists, arts & culture non-profits, and creative businesses in need of funding (up to $1000) to pilot a public initiative or event that “sparks” from a conversation at a monthly Creative Meetup and Neighbor Up Arts & Culture Network Night Gatherings. In partnership with Neighborhood Connections and Cuyahoga Art and Culture Center.
Expanding Horizons: Now in Lorain, Ohio

Fast forward to the last decade and now present with creative meet ups expansion to Lorain, that void has been filled. In a significant milestone, Creative Meetups expanded to Lorain, Ohio in November 2024. This expansion brings our vibrant community closer to new creative hubs offering local artists and innovators in the region a dedicated space to connect and collaborate. The Lorain chapter is already buzzing with fresh energy and promising initiatives, marking a new milestone in our ongoing journey of community growth. We have been featured on the Power 89.1FM and the Morning Journal read more here. Creative Meetups Lorain was strongly influenced by Music Producer, Esai Ramos. Who was frequently attending the Cleveland gatherings and saw a huge need to bring this type of initiative to Lorain.
